Control a team of orcs or humans, brawl to grab a pterodactyl, score points, manage team finances, and throw down in chaotic matches in this wild sports game from 1989.

M.U.D.S. - Mean Ugly Dirty Sport came out in 1989 for MS-DOS, published by Rainbow Arts. It was one of those games that felt right at home on a beige box PC, a sports title that didn't take itself seriously and leaned hard into cartoonish violence. You knew what you were getting just from the name; it wasn't trying to be a simulation, it was a brawl with a ball.
You control a team of either orcs or humans in a violent, made-up sport. The main objective is to grab a screeching pterodactyl and throw it into your opponent's basket to score points, but you can just punch everyone until they stop moving if you prefer. Between matches, you manage your team's finances, taking shady goblin loans and even betting on your own bloody games to stay afloat. The pacing is frantic, the difficulty is unforgiving, and every match feels like a chaotic scramble where strategy and brute force collide. It feels like controlled anarchy, a messy playground fight with rules only a goblin banker could love.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
