Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa on the DS is basically like playing through the movie, but with way more button-mashing and weird little minigames. You control Alex, Marty, Gloria, and the rest of the gang as they bumble through the African wilderness—expect a lot of running, jumping, and the occasional rhythm-based dance-off (yes, really).

The levels switch between characters, so one minute you're racing as Marty the zebra, the next you're tossing melons as the penguins. Some of the touchscreen stuff feels a little forced, but the chimp shaving minigame is weirdly satisfying once you get the hang of it. Definitely a solid pick if you're into licensed games that don't take themselves too seriously.

Just don't expect a deep story—this is pure, chaotic fun with a side of nostalgia.
