Mario Golf - Advance Tour (EU) is one of those GBA sports games that somehow makes golf feel exciting. You start by creating a custom character, then slowly work your way up from amateur tournaments to facing off against Mario and the gang. The golf mechanics are simple but satisfying—timing your swing just right actually matters.
What surprised me was how much RPG stuff they packed in. You level up stats, unlock new clubs, and even get special power shots. The courses start easy but get weirdly creative later, with warp pipes and slopes that mess with your ball. It’s still golf, just with that Mario twist.
My only gripe is how grindy it feels at times. You’ll replay the same early tournaments a lot to build your character before the real challenges open up. But once you get into it, Mario Golf - Advance Tour (EU) has a weirdly addictive loop of improving your golfer and taking on tougher opponents.
