Play Marshmallow Duel Online

You and a friend chuck marshmallows across the screen with weirdly satisfying physics—every missed shot feels like your own fault, not the game’s. The AI cheats just enough to make you yell at the monitor.

Game Overview

Marshmallow Duel came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Philippe Patenaude and David Papineau. It was one of those simple, two player games that felt right at home on a shared keyboard, back when split screen was a luxury and not a standard. You didn't need a manual or a backstory; you just needed a friend and a competitive streak.

You control a little character at the bottom of the screen, armed with nothing but a marshmallow launcher. The goal is straightforward: hit your opponent before they hit you. The physics have a surprising weight to them; you have to account for arc and bounce, and every missed shot teaches you a little more about trajectory. Matches are fast, often over in under a minute, but the difficulty comes from reading your opponent's moves and out-thinking them in real time. It feels like a pure test of reflexes and prediction, condensed into a series of frantic, sugary volleys.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
