Game Overview

Mega Math was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation of simple titles from the early computing era. It was a straightforward educational game designed to drill arithmetic skills, fitting right in with the utilitarian software of the time that often blurred the line between learning and play. There was no grand publisher attached; it felt like a program a teacher might load from a floppy disk.

You control nothing but your own cursor, typing answers to math problems that scroll vertically up the screen. The main objective is to solve as many equations as possible before the scrolling numbers reach the top and end your session. The signature mechanics involve rapid mental calculation, a steadily increasing speed that forces quick thinking, and a scoring system that rewards both accuracy and speed. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty spikes sharply, making even simple addition a frantic race against the clock. It feels like being in a tense, silent battle against your own reflexes and knowledge.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
