Play MicroLink Push Your Luck Online
Roll dice, take risks, and decide whether to bank points or push your luck in this classic MS-DOS game. Aim for the target score before your opponents do!
MicroLink Push Your Luck was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games release, a collection that bundled various titles from the platform's early years. It was developed by MicroLink and published by a small studio whose name escapes me now, but it fit right in with the straightforward, no-frills games of that era. You'd load it up from a floppy disk, and within seconds you were already rolling dice and making choices; no tutorials, no hand-holding, just you and the risk.
You control a cursor and a set of virtual dice, deciding each turn whether to bank your current points or roll again. The main objective is to reach a target score before your opponents, or simply to outlast your own greed. Signature mechanics include the escalating multiplier that boosts your potential winnings with each successful roll, and the sudden game-over if you roll a bust combination. The pacing is brisk, almost relentless, and the difficulty comes entirely from your own appetite for risk. It feels like a tightrope walk where every step could be your last, and that tension is what keeps you coming back.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
