Play Microsoft Decathlon Online
Smash keys like a maniac across 10 brutal events—nail the pole vault timing or eat dirt, then pray your keyboard survives the 1500m. Pure, punishing nostalgia.

Microsoft Decathlon came out in 1982 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Microsoft. It was one of those early PC titles that really pushed what a keyboard could do, back when games were simple in concept but demanded a lot from the player. You didn't need fancy graphics; it was all about testing your speed and timing against a set of Olympic events.
You control an athlete competing in ten different events, from sprinting and long jump to pole vault and the 1500-meter run. The main objective is to score as many points as possible across all events to earn a high score or even a virtual medal. Signature mechanics include rapid alternating key presses for running events, precise timing for jumps and throws, and managing your athlete's energy to avoid fatigue. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is unforgiving; mistime a vault or slow your keystrokes and your performance tanks. It feels like a grueling test of endurance, both for you and your keyboard.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
