Play Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Europe) Online

Pick your Ranger, punch through Putty patrols, then morph mid-level to unlock flashier moves—those Megazord boss fights still feel huge, clunky controls and all.

Game Overview

I first played Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on the Super Nintendo back in 1994. It was published by Bandai, and it felt like a pretty standard licensed game for the era, trying to capture the show's energy without reinventing the wheel. You got to step into the suits of the Rangers, which was the main draw if you were a kid who watched the series every afternoon.

You control one of the five Rangers, each with their own basic attacks and a special move. The main goal is to fight through side-scrolling levels, defeating Putty Patrollers and other monsters to reach the boss. A key mechanic is the ability to morph into your powered-up form mid-level, which changes your moveset and gives you access to stronger attacks. Later stages switch to a first-person perspective for cockpit battles inside the Megazord, where you target specific parts of the enemy. The game moves at a brisk pace, though some enemy patterns can feel cheap and the controls are a bit stiff. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes frustrating, but mostly satisfying arcade-style brawler.
