Game Overview

Okay, so Mighty the Armadillo in Sonic the Hedgehog—this weird little Genesis romp is way more fun than it has any right to be. Mighty’s basically Sonic if he traded speed for raw power—you’ll be shoulder-bashing through walls like they’re made of paper and ricocheting off surfaces with his weirdly satisfying wall jumps. The first time you accidentally bounce between two narrow corridors instead of falling to your doom? Pure magic.

It’s got all that classic Sonic energy—loops, springs, those obnoxious crab enemies—but everything feels just different enough. The levels twist in ways that actually make sense for an armadillo (who knew?). And yeah, the music slaps. It’s one of those "how did this not get a proper release?" games that retro fans obsess over for a reason.

Fair warning though: try not to compare it directly to Sonic 3. It’s its own weird, slightly janky thing—and that’s why it’s great.
