Game Overview

Nendoroid Generation is one of those weird, charming little RPGs that only the PSP could’ve pulled off. You’ve got Black Rock Shooter teaming up with a bunch of other chibi-fied anime and game characters—all in that adorable Nendoroid style—to save their world from a sudden wave of sadness and anger. It’s as ridiculous as it sounds, and that’s why it works.

The gameplay’s pretty straightforward—random encounters, simple turn-based combat, and a party of three (two fighters and a "performer" who buffs your team). But there are a couple of neat twists. Your characters run on "crystals," which act like stamina—use too many attacks, and they’ll crash, leaving them wide open. The performers can recharge them by dancing mid-battle, which is both hilarious and oddly tense when you’re running low.

Oh, and the costumes. Defeating enemies with flashy all-out attacks nets you new outfits that actually change your stats, so there’s a fun layer of customization. The whole thing’s lighthearted, packed with dumb jokes, and just the right kind of low-stakes RPG to play when you want something cheerful. It’s not deep, but it’s got personality.
