Game Overview

Network Boukenki Bugsite is one of those weird little Game Boy Color RPGs that makes you go, "Wait, this was a real game?" You play as some kid who gets sucked into a digital world overrun by literal bugs—not glitches, but pixelated critters wreaking havoc. The battles are fast, the sprites are chunky and charming, and the whole thing feels like someone mashed together a dungeon crawler with early 2000s internet nostalgia.

This beta version’s even weirder—some attacks don’t work right, a few menus are in broken English, and there’s this one enemy that just… freezes sometimes. But that’s part of the fun if you’re into obscure retro stuff. It’s like digging up a prototype cartridge buried in a developer’s desk drawer.

Honestly, it’s janky in the best way. You’ll either bounce off it in 10 minutes or get weirdly hooked on the bizarre charm. I still have no idea why my character fights with a fishing rod, by the way.
