Play Nolan Ryans Baseball Online

You fire fastballs that feel heavy, time your swings just right, and rob homers with those blocky 16-bit outfielders—pure SNES baseball at its best.

Game Overview

Nolan Ryan's Baseball came out in 1992 for the Super Nintendo, published by Romstar. It was part of that wave of early sports titles that tried to capture the feel of the real thing without a ton of frills. You got a solid, straightforward baseball game that didn't try to overcomplicate things, which was pretty common for the time.

You control all the players, from pitching and batting to fielding and base running. The main goal is to win games, either in exhibition matches or a full season mode. Two mechanics stand out: the pitching interface lets you choose different types of fastballs and breaking balls with a simple cursor system, and batting requires good timing to connect with the ball squarely. Fielding is responsive, with players snapping to fly balls and grounders quickly. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the difficulty feels fair, though mistakes are punished. It feels satisfying to get into a rhythm on the mound or string together a few hits in an inning.
