If you remember the old-school point-and-click adventures from the '90s, Once Upon A Forest on MS-DOS is a nostalgia trip. It’s based on the animated movie, and honestly, they did a decent job keeping the vibe intact—same characters, same woodland charm, just with pixelated fur and a lot of clicking. You’ll poke around forests, solve puzzles, and probably get stuck at least once trying to figure out what to do with that random acorn you picked up.
It came on both CD-ROM and floppy (remember those?), so depending on which version you had, loading times were either "mildly annoying" or "go make a sandwich." The puzzles aren’t brutal, but don’t expect hand-holding either—just classic adventure game logic where you combine weird items and hope for the best. If you liked the movie or just miss that era of PC gaming, it’s a cozy little time capsule.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
