Game Overview

Ever played one of those old carnival shooting games where you blast at moving targets with a toy rifle? Pea Shootin’ Pete is basically that, but with a farmer, a pea shooter, and MS-DOS-era pixel charm. You’re Pete, standing in a field, and critters—rabbits, birds, whatever—keep popping up for a split second before vanishing. Your job? Shoot ‘em before they’re gone. Sounds simple, but after a few rounds, you’ll realize your reflexes aren’t as sharp as you thought.

The controls are dead simple—just aim and fire—but the targets get sneaky fast. Some duck behind bushes, others zig-zag, and before long, you’re leaning into the screen like it’ll help. The whole thing feels like a mix of Whack-a-Mole and an old light gun game, except instead of saving the world, you’re just a guy protecting his veggies. And honestly? That’s part of the appeal. No story, no upgrades, just you and a steadily rising panic as the targets speed up.

It’s the kind of game you boot up for "just five minutes" and suddenly an hour’s gone. If you miss the days when games were about high scores and nothing else, Pete’s got your back. Just don’t blame me when you start seeing phantom rabbits in your peripheral vision.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
