Download PGA Tour Golf_Disk1 ROM โ Amiga Game
1990 Amiga golf sim featuring 4 courses, 60 pro golfers, and a three-click swing mechanic for power and shot control.
Game Overview
I first played PGA Tour Golf on the Amiga back in 1990. It was published by Electronic Arts, and it stood out as one of the more serious golf simulations available on the platform at the time. The game offered a solid alternative to arcade-style sports titles, focusing more on realism and player control than flashy graphics or exaggerated action.
You control a professional golfer, selecting from a roster of real PGA players, and your goal is to win tournaments by posting the lowest score. The core of the gameplay is the three-click swing mechanic: you press a button to start the swing meter, again to set power, and a third time to determine accuracy. Wind speed and direction, along with the lie of the ball, add strategic layers to each shot. The pacing is deliberate, encouraging careful planning over quick reactions, and the difficulty feels authentic, punishing rushed decisions. It feels satisfying to sink a long putt after reading the green correctly.
