Game Overview

I remember picking up PGA Tour Golf Disk2 for the Amiga back in 1990. It was published by Electronic Arts, and it felt like a solid step up from earlier golf games on the platform. The graphics were clean, the courses looked believable, and it ran smoothly on the hardware. For its time, it was one of the more polished sports simulations you could find, and it held up well against other titles from that era.

You control a professional golfer, selecting from a roster of real players, and work your way through a series of tournaments. The main objective is to shoot the lowest score over 18 holes on each course. The swing uses a three click system: one click to start the meter, another to set power, and a final click to determine accuracy. You also manage wind direction, club selection, and lie conditions before each shot. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical; it rewards patience and careful calculation. It feels satisfying to read the green correctly and sink a long putt.
