Pictionary: The Game of Quick Draw came out in 1989 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Software Creations. It was one of those early attempts to bring a party game to the computer, back when most people still thought of PCs for spreadsheets or adventure games, not drawing with friends. The presentation was simple, even by the standards of the time, but it had a certain charm that made it stand out in a sea of text-based interfaces and crude graphics.

You control the cursor using the arrow keys to draw your clue on a blank screen, while the other players (or the computer, if you're alone) try to guess what it is you're attempting to sketch. The main objective is to communicate the word or phrase before time runs out, with points awarded for correct guesses. Signature mechanics include the awkward, blocky drawing tool that forces creativity through limitation, and the unpredictable interpretations from either human teammates or the game's own AI guesser. The pacing is frantic, especially as the timer counts down, and the difficulty spikes with more abstract concepts. It feels equal parts frustrating and hilarious when your clumsy lines somehow lead to a correct answer.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
