Piece O' Cake came out for the Atari 2600 in 1982, published by Apollo. It was one of those simple, straightforward games from the early console era, built around a single idea rather than a grand adventure.

You control a chef at the bottom of the screen, moving left and right to catch cake layers as they slide down a conveyor belt. The goal is to build a complete cake by stacking layers from largest to smallest, but if you place a small piece under a larger one, the whole thing collapses. You can toss away incorrect pieces, and the belt gradually speeds up, making timing more critical. It feels frantic but satisfying when you manage a clean stack without disaster.
