Game Overview

Pipe Panic came out for the Amiga in 1989, developed by Rainbow Arts. It was one of those straightforward puzzle games that felt right at home on the platform, offering a clean, colorful challenge without a lot of fuss. You didn't need a backstory or complex controls; it was just you and a grid full of disconnected pipe segments waiting to be arranged.

You control a cursor to rotate pipe pieces on a grid, aiming to create a continuous path before time runs out and liquid starts flowing. The main objective is to connect the start pipe to the exit across increasingly complex layouts, often dealing with multiple flow directions and blocked tiles that can't be changed. The pace starts relaxed but quickly becomes frantic as you race to finish your route before the fluid spills everywhere. It feels like a tense race against a clock that's always just a little too fast.
