The tactics screen looks like someone sketched it on graph paper, and the in-game players move like they're running through custard—but somehow, that just makes nailing a perfect through-ball even sweeter. Modern football games might look slick, but none of them let you switch from adjusting your 4-4-2 to suddenly dribbling past defenders with the arrow keys like a drunk pelican.
Honestly, half the fun now is laughing at the pixelated "star players" who all have the same bowl haircut. Just don't expect the AI to make smart substitutions—your left back will be exhausted by halftime, and you'll absolutely forget to fix it.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
