You control a trainer on a journey that quickly goes off the rails. Your main goal is still to collect badges, but the world is filled with unpredictable changes. Wild Pokemon evolve at bizarre levels, your rival's dialogue is aggressively insulting, and you encounter overpowered enemies early on. The game requires careful resource management and a lot of patience to navigate its intentionally unbalanced challenges. It feels like revisiting a familiar town where all the street signs have been changed to confuse you.
