You control a trainer who begins with an Eevee that immediately evolves into Sylveon, granting access to powerful Fairy type moves much earlier than in the official games. Your main goal is still to collect eight gym badges and challenge the Pokemon League, but the altered typing and move sets change every major battle. The pacing is uneven; you crush some opponents with overwhelming force, while others, like a gym leader with a carefully retooled team or a hidden Clefairy with unexpected strength, will stop you cold.
