Alright, so Popeye on NES is this weirdly charming little arcade-style game where you're, well, Popeye—muscles and all—trying to impress Olive Oyl. She's up at the top of the screen tossing down hearts (because of course she is), and you've gotta catch them before they hit the ground. Sounds simple, right? Nope. Brutus is stomping around like a grumpy linebacker, and if he touches you, it's lights out—unless you grab a can of spinach first. Then you can punch him silly for a few seconds, which never gets old.

The levels switch things up with different platform layouts, and random bottles or birds will fly at you out of nowhere. It's one of those games where you'll yell "Oh come on!" at the screen more than once, but you'll keep playing anyway. The music’s catchy in that old-school NES way, and the pixel art has that goofy 80s charm. Not gonna lie, it’s frustrating in spots, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about knocking Brutus out mid-strut.
