Play Power Rangers 2 Online

Power Rangers 2 on NES is one of those licensed games that tries to capture the show's energy but ends up feeling stiff. You control the Rangers in a side-scrolling beat 'em up, punching and kicking through waves of Putties, but the combat lacks weight—hits don't feel satisfying.

The levels drag a bit, with repetitive enemy patterns and awkward platforming sections. Boss fights are the highlight, though some feel cheap with unpredictable attacks. The sprite work is decent for an NES game, at least—you can tell who’s who, even if the animations are basic.

If you're a die-hard Power Rangers fan, you might get some nostalgia from it, but otherwise, it’s a pretty forgettable brawler.
