Game Overview
Predator Disk2 came out on the Amiga in 1987, published by Activision and developed by Ocean Software. It was one of those early action games that tried to capture the feel of the movie, putting you right into the jungle with its detailed, for the time, graphics and sound. The game fit right into that era of platformers where movie licenses were common, and the challenge was always high.
You control a commando armed with a rifle, moving screen by screen through dense jungle and enemy camps. Your main goal is to survive the environment, pick up better weapons like grenades and a flamethrower, and eventually take down the Predator itself. The gameplay involves a lot of running and jumping over pits, shooting soldiers and creatures, and managing your limited ammo. It moves at a brisk pace, and the difficulty is relentless, with enemies coming from all directions. Playing it feels tense and demanding, like every step could be your last.
