So, Predator on NES is this weirdly fun mix of jungle shootouts and... floating sphere dodging? Yeah, it's as bizarre as it sounds. You start off blasting through guerillas and angry wildlife with unlimited ammo (thank god) — machine guns, lasers, the works. The jungle sections feel like a chaotic run-and-gun where you're just trying to find the right cave to warp to the next level. Sometimes there are multiple exits, so you might skip ahead or loop back unexpectedly.

Then, every few stages, things get really strange. Suddenly you're in this abstract "Big Mode" dodging and shooting these glowing blue and purple orbs. Some drop power-ups, others just hurt. It's like a fever dream version of Predator, honestly. Eventually you face off against the Predator itself — same basic setup each time, but it mixes up its attacks enough to keep you on your toes. Not gonna lie, the first time I hit Big Mode I thought my cartridge was glitching.
