Game Overview

Princess Maker 2 came out in 1993 for MS-DOS, developed by Gainax. It was part of that wave of simulation games that felt different from the usual platformers or RPGs of the time. You didn't just control a character through levels; you managed a life, and that was a rare kind of experience back then.

You play as a hero who adopts a young girl and guides her through eight years of her life. Your main goal is to shape her future through education, work, and occasional adventures. You schedule her activities month by month, choosing between things like combat training, art classes, or part-time jobs. Her attributes change based on what she does, and those stats influence which of dozens of endings she gets. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with events and random encounters breaking up the routine. It feels personal because you watch her grow and change in response to your choices.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
