Prophecy came out in 1997 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series from Activision. It was a time when point-and-click adventures were still common, and this one fit right in with its moody, hand-drawn look and fantasy setting. You don't hear much about it now, but it had a quiet, thoughtful style that stood apart from flashier titles.

You play as a young wizard tasked with gathering magical sands to restore a corrupted hourglass and save your world. Movement is screen by screen; you explore villages, dark forests, and dreamlike realms, collecting items and solving inventory-based puzzles. The challenge comes from the logic of these puzzles, which often require careful observation or combining objects in unexpected ways. It's not a fast game; you move deliberately, think through each interaction, and sometimes hit a wall that makes you reconsider everything you've seen. Playing it feels like slowly untangling a knot in the dark, patient and satisfying when a solution finally clicks.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
