Prophecy 1: The Viking Child came out in 1991 for MS-DOS, developed by Imagitec Design Inc. It was part of that wave of side-scrolling platformers that really defined the early PC gaming era, before everything shifted toward 3D. You control a young Viking who explores a series of interconnected screens, fighting monsters with a sword and solving environmental puzzles.
