Quest for Glory II: Trial By Fire on the Amiga is one of those classic RPGs that somehow nails the perfect mix of adventure and combat. You start off in the desert city of Shapeir, picking your class—fighter, mage, or thief—and realizing pretty quick that each one changes how you solve problems. Fighters bash their way through, mages get clever with spells, and thieves... well, they pick a lot of locks.
The world feels alive, with NPCs who actually react to what you do, and the puzzles are just tricky enough to make you think without getting frustrating.
