Rambo on the NES came out in 1987, developed by Pack-In-Video. It was one of many movie tie-ins from that era, a time when licensed games often felt rushed and unpredictable. You control John Rambo, sent on a mission to rescue POWs held in a jungle fortress.

You move screen by screen, fighting enemy soldiers and vehicles with a knife, a bow, and explosive arrows. The main goal is to rescue all the prisoners before a timer runs out, which adds constant pressure. The difficulty is unforgiving; enemies respawn quickly, and your health depletes fast. It feels tense and frantic, like you're barely surviving each encounter.
