Play Rampart on GBC Online
Snap together blocky castle walls like puzzle pieces, then frantically aim cannons as enemy ships blast holes in your defenses—it's Tetris meets medieval warfare with that classic GBC jank. The real fun comes when you and a friend take turns smashing each other's lopsided forts to bits.

Rampart on the Game Boy Color came out in 2000, developed by Digital Eclipse. It was a port of the older arcade and console game, fitting right in with the kind of strategic, puzzle-like experiences you could find on the handheld at the time. The game doesn't try to be flashy; it just gives you a straightforward, tactical challenge in a small package.
You control a set of cannons inside a castle you build yourself, piece by piece. The main goal is to defend your territory from invading ships by destroying them with your artillery before they breach your walls. Between attack waves, you get a short time to rebuild your fortress by snapping wall segments into place, almost like a puzzle. The pacing is tense; you're always racing against the clock to repair damage and aim your next shots. It feels satisfying to successfully coordinate your repairs and attacks under pressure, especially when you barely hold the line.
