Play Rampart on Msdos Online
You patch up your castle’s walls in frantic seconds between attacks, then manually aim each cannon as ships swarm in—mess up and your defenses crumble fast. That perfect shot where you nail a ship mid-sail? Pure pixelated satisfaction.

Game Overview
Rampart on MS-DOS is one of those weirdly satisfying games that shouldn’t work but totally does. You start with a crumbling castle—somehow both too big and too small—and about 30 seconds to slap walls back together before the next wave of ships rolls in. Mess up the repairs and suddenly you’ve got giant gaps where your cannons used to be.
The real magic happens when the shooting starts. You’re not just defending—you’re manually aiming every cannon like some overworked medieval artillery crew. There’s something hilarious about watching tiny pixel ships explode because you guessed their trajectory just right. And if you survive, you get to do it all again, only faster and with more holes in your walls.
It’s aged better than most DOS games, mostly because no one’s made anything quite like it since. The two-player mode turns into pure chaos—nothing like watching your friend’s carefully rebuilt fortress get wrecked because they forgot to cover one corner. Just don’t blame me when you start seeing Tetris blocks in your sleep.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
