Play Revolution X (Japan) Online

Blast through a dystopian future with a CD launcher, rescuing Aerosmith from a totalitarian regime while their music blares in the background—it’s as weird as it sounds. The controls take some getting used to, but there’s something oddly satisfying about hurling explosive discs at helicopters to save rock and roll.

Game Overview

Revolution X on SNES is basically what happens when someone took Aerosmith, a dystopian future, and way too many CDs, then threw them into a light gun shooter. You play as some rebels trying to rescue the band from a totalitarian regime—because obviously, saving rock and roll is priority one.

The whole thing feels like a fever dream where you’re blasting helicopters with a CD launcher while Steven Tyler’s face pops up in the background. The controls are janky (it’s an SNES light gun game without the light gun), but there’s something weirdly charming about hurling explosive discs at faceless soldiers while "Eat the Rich" plays for the 50th time. If you’re into bizarre ‘90s arcade ports, this one’s a trip.
