Game Overview
Rings of Medusa is one of those old-school MS-DOS games that somehow makes trading turnips and fighting pirates equally tense. You start with a tiny squad and a map full of fog—scouts help clear it, but bandits lurk everywhere, so you’re constantly weighing risk versus profit. The towns all have different goods, and figuring out which routes pay off feels like cracking a mercantile puzzle.
Eventually, you’ll dig up weird artifacts, fortify cities with your own troops (they follow basic defense orders when you’re not around), and even sail to other islands. The rings? Yeah, good luck with those—they’re hidden in the most unpredictable places, like some ancient Medusa decided to play hide-and-seek. It’s janky in that classic ’90s way, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about building an empire one cheese shipment at a time.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
