Game Overview

Robomaze III: The Dome came out as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though I don't recall the developer offhand. It fits right into that era of simple, focused PC games where you didn't need a backstory or fancy graphics to get hooked. You just loaded it up and got straight to the challenge.

You control a small robot navigating a series of maze-like rooms, each filled with hazards like laser beams and teleport pads. The goal is to reach the exit in every stage without getting zapped or lost. Movement is grid-based and deliberate; you plan each step carefully, often pausing to time your moves between shifting obstacles. The difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding patience and precision. It feels tense and satisfying when you finally thread your way through a particularly nasty screen.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
