Game Overview

Rock Star Ate My Hamster is one of those gloriously weird Amiga games where you play as Cecil Pitt, a sleazy manager trying to turn washed-up musicians into superstars. You start by picking your "talent" from audition tapes—Tina Turnoff and Wacko Jacko are highlights—then outfit them with gear that ranges from decent to "this amp might explode mid-gig."

The real fun begins when you start hustling: bribing your diva musicians with gifts, scheduling sketchy publicity stunts, and praying they don’t OD before the album drops. Every decision moves time forward, and by December, you’d better have a hit or you’re bankrupt. Recording music is just the start—you’ll blow cash on music videos (cheap directors = grainy footage) and gamble on tabloid scandals that could either skyrocket sales or get your lead singer "mysteriously crushed by a falling disco ball."

It’s chaotic, darkly funny, and weirdly addictive. Just don’t get too attached to your band members.
