Rotox came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series from U.S. Gold Ltd. It was a time when games were often unforgiving, built on simple concepts that demanded precision and patience. You didn't get lengthy backstories or hand-holding; you got a challenge and the tools to face it.
You control a small, nimble ship tasked with navigating through tight, hazard-filled corridors. Your main objective is to survive each screen, clearing it of enemies and obstacles to progress. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is high, leading to frequent deaths, but the controls are tight and responsive. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
