Game Overview
Rox is one of those Game Boy Color puzzlers that somehow slipped under the radar—which is a shame, because it’s way more fun than it has any right to be. You control this little cube dude (Rox, I guess?) through these maze-like levels, pushing blocks, avoiding spikes, and figuring out how to reach the exit. At first it feels simple, but by level 5 or so, you’ll be staring at the screen like, “Wait, how the heck do I even…?”
The pixel art’s got that classic GBC charm—bright colors, chunky sprites—and the puzzles ramp up at just the right pace. It’s the kind of game where you tell yourself “one more level” at 11 PM, and suddenly it’s midnight. Not quite as punishing as some old-school puzzlers, but it’ll still make you think. If you’ve got a soft spot for forgotten handheld gems, Rox is a solid little time capsule.
