Play Saint Dragon Amiga Online
1989 horizontal shooter with five levels, upgradeable weapons, and a defensive tail mechanic. Features relentless enemies and boss battles. Released for Amiga.

Saint Dragon hit the Amiga in 1989, a time when the platform was flush with arcade-style shooters. It was developed by Jaleco and published by U.S. Gold, offering a solid, if familiar, take on the horizontal shooter genre. The game didn't redefine the category, but it carved out its own space with a distinct visual style and a couple of interesting gameplay hooks.
You control a cybernetic dragon, flying left to right through five levels filled with enemy ships and alien creatures. Your main weapon is a forward-firing shot, which can be upgraded by collecting power-ups dropped by specific enemies. The dragon's tail acts as a secondary, defensive weapon; it swings behind you, automatically destroying any projectiles or small foes that get too close. The pacing is fast, and the enemy patterns demand quick reflexes, especially during the large, screen-filling boss fights. It feels like a constant dance between aggressive shooting and careful positioning to keep your tail in the right place.
