Game Overview

St. Dragon is one of those Amiga shooters that looks simple at first—until you realize how brutal it gets. You play as a lone cyborg warrior taking on an army of rogue machines, blasting through five levels of R-Type-style chaos. The tail mechanic is what makes it stand out—it’s not just for show. Swing it right, and you can smash enemies or block bullets, but mistime it, and you’re toast.

Power-ups stick around even after you die (thankfully), but checkpoints are sparse, so every mistake hurts. The weapons feel satisfying—especially when you finally get the right setup to chew through bosses. Just don’t expect mercy from the later levels. It’s the kind of game where you’ll retry the same section a dozen times, then grin when you finally nail it.
