Game Overview

If you've ever wanted to summon a jetpack-wearing dinosaur to solve a puzzle, Scribblenauts Collection is basically your playground. It bundles the first two DS games where you type in any object (seriously, almost anything) and watch it pop into existence. Need a ladder? Type it. A flaming sword? Done. A confused yet helpful zombie? Yep, that too.

The controls got a nice tweak—you can finally move Maxwell properly with the D-pad instead of awkwardly poking the screen. And thank goodness they ditched the annoying flight timer. Now you can soar around on your homemade dragon or helicopter as long as you want. The puzzles start simple (help this kid reach his balloon) but get wild fast. Half the fun is breaking the solutions—why build a bridge when you could spawn a trampoline and bounce over?

Fair warning: your first hour will just be testing how many ridiculous things the game actually recognizes. Spoiler: it’s a lot.
