Seymour Goes to Hollywood came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Argo Games and published by Merit Software. You control Seymour, a worm trying to make it big in the movie business, navigating through side-scrolling levels filled with hazards like rolling film reels, aggressive paparazzi, and other Hollywood-themed obstacles. The main goal is to reach the director's chair at the end of each stage, but getting there requires burrowing through soft walls to create new paths, avoiding or outsmarting enemies rather than fighting them, and solving environmental puzzles that often involve timing and careful observation. The pacing is brisk, though the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially in later levels where precision movement becomes essential. Playing it feels like a mix of tension and absurd satisfaction when you finally thread the needle through a particularly chaotic section.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
