Pick a warrior, smash through armies, then suddenly you're fighting mythical beasts with friends—Dynasty Warriors but wilder and way better with co-op.
Game Overview
Shin Sangoku Musou - Multi Raid 2 is one of those PSP games that makes you wish the Vita had backward compatibility. It takes the usual Dynasty Warriors chaos—swinging swords through crowds of enemies—but throws in wild monster fights and co-op that actually feels worth playing. You start off picking a hero (I went with Zhao Yun because spears are cool) and immediately dive into smashing through waves of enemies, but then suddenly you're fighting a giant tiger demon or some mythical beast. The combat's simple but satisfying, especially when you pull off a flashy special move.
What surprised me was how much the co-op changes things—teaming up with friends to take down bosses makes the usual hack-and-slash grind way more fun. The graphics are decent for PSP, though some of the bigger battles can get a little messy on the small screen. If you're into over-the-top action and don't mind Japanese text, it's a solid pick for some portable mayhem.
