SkyNET - Demo came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Bethesda Softworks. It was a first-person shooter set in the Terminator universe, arriving at a time when 3D games were still finding their footing, and it leaned into that raw, polygonal aesthetic without apology.

You control a human resistance fighter navigating a hostile future landscape overrun by machines. Your main objective is to survive long enough to complete missions, which often involve destroying key enemy assets or securing intel. The game emphasizes screen-by-screen exploration through maze-like industrial complexes and blasted outdoor terrain, with combat relying on a mix of projectile weapons and vehicular action, including driving an armed jeep. The pacing is tense, and the difficulty is unforgiving; environmental hazards like radiation pits can kill you just as quickly as the relentless HKs and terminators. It feels like a desperate, claustrophobic scramble through a world that wants you dead.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
