Game Overview

SkyNET on MS-DOS is one of those early FPS games that throws you straight into the Terminator war—no hand-holding, just a briefing video and then boom, you're dodging radiation zones while terminators try to turn you into scrap metal. The first level already has you switching between on-foot chaos, jeep runs with a mounted cannon (which feels way more powerful than it should), and even piloting a flying HK. Weirdly, the terrain is almost as deadly as the robots—step into the wrong glowing patch and you're done.

Enemy variety is wild for a game this old: flying Seekers, stompy T-600s, and these spider-like bots that skitter at you way too fast. The weapons help, but half the time I found myself backtracking just to find a safe path through the radiation. It’s janky in that classic '90s way, but there’s something satisfying about barely surviving a level by the skin of your teeth. Just don’t expect the FMV cutscenes to age as well as the gameplay.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
