Ah, Sopwith 2—the kind of game that makes you appreciate how far we’ve come while still being weirdly addictive. You’re in this tiny, pixelated biplane, dodging flak and trying not to crash into the ground (which happens more than you’d think). The controls are simple—just arrow keys and a button to shoot—but somehow that’s all it takes to get you hooked.
The enemy planes actually chase you now, which is a big step up from the first game. One minute you’re bombing a base, the next you’re in a tight spiral trying to shake some guy off your tail. And yeah, the graphics are blocky as hell, but there’s charm in that. You can practically hear the engine sputtering.
It’s one of those games where you lose track of time because you keep telling yourself, “Okay, one more run.” Before long, you’re leaning into turns like it’s a real cockpit. If you’ve got a soft spot for old-school DOS games, this one’s a must.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
