Play Star Trek - The Next Generation on snes Online

You juggle shields, negotiate with aliens, and beam down to planets—half the time your crew barely makes it back in one piece. That pixel LCARS interface somehow nails the feeling of actually running the Enterprise.

Game Overview

Star Trek: The Next Generation on SNES is one of those weirdly ambitious 16-bit adaptations that somehow works. You don’t just fly the Enterprise around shooting things—you actually manage shields, send away teams down to planets, and even talk your way out of fights (or fail miserably and end up in a photon torpedo duel).

The pixelated LCARS interface feels surprisingly authentic, and hearing Picard’s voice clips during key moments is a nice touch. The away missions are clunky by modern standards, but there’s something fun about micromanaging your crew’s phasers and tricorders like a stressed-out Starfleet captain.

Fair warning: The learning curve is steep, and the Klingons don’t mess around. But if you ever wanted to yell "Shields up!" at your CRT TV, this is your chance.
