Oh man, Street Fighter II: Champion Edition on SNES—this was the one that turned my living room into an arcade. I remember unboxing it and immediately trying to play as Bison, only to get wrecked by my little brother spamming Dhalsim's stretchy limbs from across the screen. The controls just clicked after a few rounds, though. That moment when you finally nail Zangief's spinning piledriver or land a perfect Shoryuken as Ryu? Pure adrenaline.

What I loved was how they let you pick the same character as your friend. Double Guile matches turned into a hilarious mess of Sonic Booms and flash kicks. The colors popped way more than the original arcade version too—Vega's claw actually looked dangerous instead of pixelated. Sure, later editions added more bells and whistles, but this was the version where we wore out controllers from too many sudden death rounds. Still holds up if you can find a CRT TV to play it on.
