Striker on the Genesis is one of those early '90s soccer games that somehow makes blocky 3D fields feel intense. The ball physics are just unpredictable enough that even simple crosses can turn into chaos in front of the net.
Weirdly, this got rebranded everywhere—Cantona’s name got slapped on it in France, which feels random now. The AI isn’t brilliant, but the matches are short and scrappy, perfect for quick sessions. You’ll either love or hate the commentary; it’s basically one guy yelling "GOAL!" like he’s surprised it happened.
Honestly, it’s janky by modern standards, but there’s charm in how hard it tries to feel like a proper broadcast. Just don’t expect FIFA.
