Play Striker on Snes Online
You control these chunky players from a weird tilted view, threading wild dribbles through defenders while the scanner helps you nail those long passes. The formations actually matter—pick wrong and your team just falls apart.

Striker came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed by Rage Software. It was one of those early attempts to bring a more simulation-style soccer game to the console, sitting alongside other sports titles that were still figuring out how to translate the flow of a real match into 16-bit action. It didn't have the big licenses, but it had its own approach to the game.
You control a team of blocky, colorful players from an isometric perspective, which gives a decent view of the pitch but makes judging depth a constant challenge. The main objective is straightforward: score more goals than the opponent. Key mechanics include a scanner that helps you target long passes and through balls with some precision, and a formation system where your tactical choices genuinely impact how your team holds its shape defensively and builds attacks. The pace is fast, almost frantic, and the difficulty can spike sharply against better teams, demanding quick decisions. It feels like a game of calculated risks, where a perfectly placed pass that splits the defense is deeply satisfying.
