Game Overview

Striker on the SNES is one of those early 3D soccer games where the camera tilts at this weird angle and the players look like little polygonal blobs—but somehow, it just works. The pace is frantic, way faster than real soccer, and matches turn into these chaotic scrambles where you’re just hammering the shoot button hoping for the best.

Weirdly, it had like six different names depending on where you bought it—Eric Cantona’s name got slapped on the French version, which feels random but kinda cool. The controls are simple (pass, shoot, sprint), but there’s a surprising amount of strategy in how you position your little pixel guys. Just don’t expect FIFA-level realism—this is pure arcade fun with a side of janky charm.
